Freddie Woodward, Georgia Davenport and Clare Cryan beat off competition from across Europe to reach the finals of their events at the European Junior Diving Championships in Belgrade.
Freddie finished 4th in the 16-18 years 3 metre springboard event scoring 492 points overall including an impressive 69 points for a forward 3 ½ somersault pike dive. Sergey Zhdanov of Russia took the gold medal. Freddie also came 4th in the 3 metre springboard synchro competition with his partner Josh Dowd from Leeds.
Georgia Davenport finished 5th in the final of the girls 14-16 years 1 metre springboard event, just 5 points short of bronze medal position. This performance was particularly impressive as Georgia has only been diving for 2 years.
In a closely fought girls' 16-18 years 3 metre springboard final, Clare Cryan dived consistently to finish in 11th place.
